Information is structured by constituency and helps answer the question - what are healthcare services like for my constituents and how do they compare with other parts of the country.
Dr Foster Research is the UK's leading independent provider of healthcare information, and carries out regular surveys into hospital and primary care services. Its team of statisticians at Imperial College provide in-depth analysis of data from the Hospital Episodes Statistics database run by the NHS in England, to calculate key comparative indicators like the Hospital Standardised Mortality Ratio which uniquely allows meaningful comparison of in-hospital death-rates.
This website uses information about acute hospital services, collected in 2006. All surveys covered the four UK nations.
